You can purchase it from specialized book-shops nation-wide or you can order it at: EDITURA ECONOMICA EMERGENCY ORDINANCE no. 195 / 22.12.2005 regarding Environmental Protection The Government of Romania considered it to be highly necessary to urgently adopt the present legal act, taking into account the necessity of Romania's fulfilment of all assumed obligations in the process of European integration and the need to create a unitary framework that would establish the principles that govern the entire environmental protection activity and set the regulatory guidelines of all economic activities with a view to ataining the sustainable development objectives. The purpose of the present Emergency Ordinance is to regulate the environmetal protection domain, an objective of major public interest, according to the strategic principles and elements that lead to the sustainable development of our society. The present Emergency Ordinance will be enforced 30 days after its publication in the Official Gazette of Romania. Emergency Ordinance no.152 from November 10th, 2005, on pollution prevention and integrated control The Romanian Government adopted this Ordinance, taking into account the necessity that Romania shall accomplish its obligations in due time, within the negotiation process with the European Commission. The obligations correspond to Chapter 22 "Environmental Protection", are stipulated in the Treaty of Adhesion to the European Union and fall under Romania's responsibility, as a state in the EU accession process. These obligations include the transposition of Norm no. 96/61/CE on pollution prevention and integrated control, modified by Directives no. 2003/35/CE and no. 2003/87/CE, and the elimination of the non-conformities related to the installation operational compliance deadlines, stipulated in the Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2002 on pollution prevention and integrated control, approved with modifications through Law no. 645/2002, and the ones mentioned in the negotiation process, as well as the provisions regarding public interest and the ones mentioning extraordinary emergency situations. At the date this Emergency Ordinance comes into force, the Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2002 on pollution prevention and integrated control, published in the Romania's Official Gazette, Part I, no. 223 from April 3rd, 2002, approved with modifications through Law no. 645/2002, is repealed. The provisions of the present Emergency Ordinance transpose Directive 96/61/CE on pollution prevention and integrated control, published in the Official Journal of the European Community (JOCE) no. 257 from October 10th, 1996.
